Terms of Service

Effective July 31, 2026

1. Agreeing to these terms

Wumbly is an early-learning app made by Michael Lazaro ("we", "us"). By downloading or using Wumbly you agree to these terms. Wumbly is intended to be set up and supervised by a parent or legal guardian; by using it you confirm you are an adult accepting these terms on your household's behalf.

2. What Wumbly is (and isn't)

Wumbly offers practice activities for early reading and math. It is an educational supplement — a fun sidekick, not a school, a curriculum, a tutor, or a diagnostic tool, and no specific learning outcome is promised.

3. Subscriptions and the free trial

4. AI-generated content

Stories, coaching lines, and weekly summaries are generated by an AI model within guardrails we designed for young readers. AI content is created fresh on request and, while we constrain it carefully, it may occasionally be imperfect. If a story ever seems off, please tell us at mike@profsearch.net so we can tighten the guardrails.

5. Fair use

Please don't copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or abuse the app or its services (including attempting to overload the AI endpoints). We may suspend service to protect it for everyone.

6. Your content and ours

Profile nicknames and avatars you enter stay yours (and stay on your device). Wumbly's name, mascot, artwork, and software are ours and protected by copyright and trademark laws.

7. Disclaimers and liability

Wumbly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be waived.

8. Ending or changing the service

We may update the app, these terms, or discontinue features over time. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above and note it in release notes. Continuing to use Wumbly after a change means you accept it.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence still apply.
